Police said he was driving a 2002 Dodge Dakota and lost control, left the interstate, struck a tree and overturned onto its roof. Police said a passer-by smashed out a window on the Dakota to help the driver get out of the vehicle.

The car was towed from the scene.

The crash resulted in Mari E. Taggart, 27, of Wyoming, being injured. She was transported by personnel from the Pocono Mountain Regional Emergency Medical Services to the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.

Police said Williams, who was uninjured, was driving a 2015 Dodge Challenger that was weaving within its lane of travel when it struck the rear of a 2016 Nissan Rogue driven by Taggart. The impact caused the Rogue to leave the roadway and overturn.

Police said both vehicles were towed from the scene.
