Bowmanstown residents who live in Meadowcrest are still asked to boil their water due to a water main break.
The borough posted Monday morning on its Facebook page that there was a water main break on the 700 block of Lime Street in Meadowcrest.
Tara Takerer, borough treasurer/assistant secretary, said Tuesday the main cracked in front of 747 Lime St. in Meadowcrest.
As a result, Takerer said they do have their homeowners in Meadowcrest boil water.
Takerer added they took consecutive water samplings; one the day of the leak after it’s repaired, and also did one this morning.
“Once the results come back from the lab, we’ll lift it once everything’s good to go,” Takerer said.
Takerer stressed it’s for Meadowcrest residents only.
Anyone without water for any period of time is required to boil their water as a precautionary measure until further notice, the post states.
