The Panther Creek Power Plant in Nesquehoning is burning tire shreds as part of a Department of Environmental Protection test.

In order to give DEP real time feedback, residents are asked that if they smell tires burning to report it to the DEP 24-hour emergency complaint line at 570-826-2511.
