An 83-year-old Slatington man was charged by state police with assault with a weapon after they were called to a domestic dispute at 11:16 a.m. Dec. 20 at a property on Rockdale Road, North Whitehall Township.

An 83-year-old woman from Slatington told them he threatened and struck her. The man was taken into custody without incident. The investigation is continuing, police said.
