A restaurant is helping a nurse who is battling cancer.

Martha Selinko is a nephrology nurse at St. Luke’s Tamaqua DaVita Dialysis, located at 1215 E. Broad St., Tamaqua. Selinko has been battling a courageous fight against Stage 4 cancer, which has been making it difficult to work her job.

To help out Selinko, PJ Whelihan’s Pub, 101 N. Harrity Road, Lehighton, will donate 15% of proceeds of all food orders on Thursday to Selinko for her medical care. This includes dine-in, take-out and alcohol. Event hours at the location are 11 a.m.-9 p.m.

Also participating on Thursday is PJ Whelihan’s Pub, 3395 High Point Blvd., Bethlehem. Event hours at that location are 11 a.m.-10 p.m.
