Fire companies from Carbon and Schuylkill counties responded to a structure fire this morning in Summit Hill. The alarm came in around 7:30 a.m. as a working fire at 7 North Market St.

When the first officer arrived on scene he confirmed working fire on the second floor of the large wood frame apartment building.

A quick response by firefighters kept the damage to a minimum.

Fire companies from Summit Hill, Lansford and Coaldale responded to the scene.

Area fire police maintained traffic control at the scene. No injuries were reported in the incident.
