The Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce announces the upcoming 2024 Schuylkill Winterfest, a community celebration that will bring a winter day of fun, entertainment, and shopping.

The rain or shine event is set to take place on Jan. 20 in Downtown Pottsville from 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

The event will stretch from Alvernia Pottsville CollegeTowne, down Progress Avenue to the intersection of E. Norwegian Street.

“We are incredibly excited to bring the community together for the 2024 Schuylkill Winterfest. This festival is not just an event; it’s a celebration of community,” said Robert S. Carl Jr., president & CEO, Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce.

Carl said the event not only signifies togetherness, but also stimulates the local economy, shows support of local, small businesses, and provides organizations with community outreach effort opportunities.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

A Kids Corner will be located in the parking lot of Alvernia University Pottsville CollegeTowne, 500 Progress Avenue, Pottsville, PA 17901. The Kids Corner will include a castle jumper, crafts, face painting and more.

Live entertainment will take place on the Explore Schuylkill Stage, which will be located at the intersection of Logan and Arch streets, Pottsville.

• 1-3 p.m.: The Boys Upstairs

• 3:15-3:45 p.m.: Meet the contestants of the Greater Pottsville Winter Carnival

• 5-7 p.m.: Hooligan

The Yuengling Beer Bar will be located on E. Arch Street (between PA CareerLink and the plaza that houses Dollar General).

Progress Avenue will be lined with more than 25 craft, food and spirit vendors.
