Weissport Borough Council reminds homeowners and landlords that all rental tenants must get a moving permit from the borough in order to move into or out of the borough.
Council member and Constable James Osborne said that he had recently met with tenants at an apartment building in Weissport.
“I asked them why none of them got a moving permit; and, the response I got was that the homeowner never let them know anything. They didn’t know,” Osborne said.
Osborne said he spoke with the homeowner who said they knew nothing about needing a moving permit.
Council member Arland Moyer said that there is a sign by Dunkin’ Donuts at the bridge coming into the borough that says permits are required. A second sign that used to be near the Lunchroom will be replaced.
