Special Honor Roll Message for Jim Thorpe Area High School/Lehigh Carbon Community College Dual Enrollment Students: Starting this year, we are issuing Dual Enrollment Jim Thorpe Area High School/Lehigh Carbon Community College grades at the end of the semester and not quarterly. Postsecondary schools issue grades at the end of the semester and do not have a midpoint reportable grade. We will follow this system for dual enrollment students to prepare them for the grading pattern set by postsecondary institutions.

As a result, Dual Enrollment students may not be listed on Honor Roll or Principal’s List for Quarter 1 since they will not have the required minimum amount of five classes to be recognized. We know this may be disappointing and we always want to recognize student achievement. In addition, Class Rank and GPA may be temporarily impacted. As in the past, Class Rank and GPA are finalized at the end of the year. We will give special recognition to these students during Quarter 2/Semester 1 and Quarter 4/Semester 2 Honor Rolls.
