Rush Township residents won’t have to dig any deeper into their pockets to pay real estate taxes in the coming year.
During Thursday’s regular monthly meeting, supervisors adopted the 2024 budget with no tax increase.
The tax rate for general purposes remains at 5.62 mills.
There has been no jump in taxes for the past several years.
The budget passed unanimously.
Also during the brief meeting, the board:
• Announced that the reorganization and regular January monthly meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Jan. 2.
• Reappointed Missy Griffiths to the Planning Commission for a 4-year term.
• Reappointed Dave Ceci to the Planning Commission for a 4-year term.
• Increased the meeting pay for members of the Zoning Hearing Board and Planning Commission to $50.
• Noted that the township office will be closed Monday and Tuesday in observance of the Christmas holiday, and on Jan. 1 for the New Year holiday.
• Reminded residents that the Monday garbage collection will be moved to Tuesday, and the Dec. 29 pickup will be moved to Dec. 30.
