A 27-unit apartment complex at the intersection of Broadway and Susquehanna streets in Jim Thorpe was officially dedicated today during a ceremony attended by state, county and local dignitaries.

The honor of cutting the ribbon went to Margaret Kuhla Watkins, the first of the 16 apartment dwellers signed up to date.

The building is now owned by Tyco Associates of New York and the housing project is one of several in the county under the direction of the Carbon County Housing Authority.

Lynn Hammond of Lehighton has been named manager of the facility.
