State Police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following:

• Four people sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 3:14 p.m. Dec. 14 on Route 903 in Penn Forest Township.

Transported by the Lake Harmony Rescue Squad and Ambulance Corps were Moriyah L. Bidding, 42, Ellah Bidding, 22, and a 5-year-old girl, all from Kingston. The fourth person, Susan L. Schramm, 70, of Jim Thorpe, was transported by the Lehighton Ambulance Association to the same hospital.

Police said the crash happened when Moriyah Bidding, driving a 2020 Nissan Altima north on Rt. 903, failed to stop in time for a 2019 Subaru operated by Schramm. She was attempting to turn left onto Hatchery Road at the time.

Police said both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Bidding was cited for careless driving, police said.

• Shane M. Austin, 27, of Bangor, and John J. Gavinovich, 48, of Jim Thorpe, sustained minor injuries in a crash at 7:59 p.m. Dec. 12 on Route 248 in Bowmanstown.

Police said they were transported by Palmerton and Lehighton ambulance corps to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Carbon Campus, Franklin Township.

Police said the crash occurred when a truck that had been operated by Austin became disabled on the right westbound lane of traffic, while Austin was standing in front of it working underneath the hood of the vehicle.

Police said a 2017 Kia Optima driven by Gavinovich was westbound and the driver failed to observe the truck. The Optima struck the truck, pushing it into Austin. The Optima then and came to rest in the right westbound lane, approximately 15 feet in front of the truck.

Police said both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

• Lyudmila Yuklyayevskaya, 68, of Albrightsville, was cited for “stop signs and yield signs” after a two-vehicle crash at 7:08 p.m. Dec. 12 at the intersection of Scenic Drive and Dotters Corner Road in Polk Township.

Police said she sustained minor injuries and was transported by Lehigh Valley MedEvac to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono, East Stroudsburg.

Police said she was driving a 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz that failed to stop at a stop sign on Jonas Road, traveled across Rt. 534 and struck a 2012 Kia Sedona driven by Zane E. Young, 21, of Kunkletown. Young and a passenger, Zoey M. Bronson, 20, of Easton, escaped injuries in the incident.

Police said both vehicles were towed from the scene.

• Police were called to a theft by deception incident at midnight Nov. 5 at a property on Ashley Lane in East Penn Township.

The victim is a 63-year-old man from Lehighton, who reported someone opened a credit card under his name.

• Hector Perez Reyes, 38, of Effort, was cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to a domestic disturbance between a woman and her ex-husband.

It happened at 9:18 p.m. Dec. 17 at 2110 Arnold Drive, Polk Township.

The victim told police Reyes struck her on the right side of the face while she was folding clothes.
