Man with loaded gun disarmed by bar owner in Lansford

The owner of a Lansford bar disarmed a drunk man who had a loaded firearm on Saturday night in that borough, according to state police at Lehighton.

Police said they were called to 634 E. Patterson St. at 11:20 p.m. Saturday for a “report of a disturbance.”

Although police did not specify the business at the address, The 80s Bar comes up on a Google map search of that address.

Police said they were told an intoxicated man attempted to fight other individuals inside the business and that he had a loaded gun.

Police identified two victims of the incident as David Bargeron, 57, of Summit Hill, and Tayshawn Hudson, 29, of Lansford.

Police said they were told the suspect left the scene before their arrival. Witnesses told police the owner of the bar tackled the intoxicated man and removed a loaded firearm.

In a separate incident report, police said they were summoned at 10 p.m. Dec. 15 to investigate a burglary in Lansford.

It happened at a property on West Ridge Street. Police said there was “no force” used in the break-in.
