State police at Fern Ridge

State police at Fern Ridge reported the following:

• Ryan Kisslinger, 31, of Hellertown, was cited for retail theft (shoplifting) after police were called at 2:38 p.m. Nov. 27 to Kinsley’s Shop Rite, 107 Kinsley Drive, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said he was trying to steal Turkey Hill ice cream worth $9 and earbuds and an ink pen worth $24.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 2:08 a.m. Nov. 16 on Sugar Hollow Road in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said Jordan D. Dickinson, 18, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2016 Toyota Corolla southbound when a herd of deer ran out in front of his vehicle.

Police said he steered the vehicle out of the way of the herd and it struck a tree on the opposite side of the road and hit a deer before coming to rest.
