State police at the Pocono barracks said Megan P. Genetti, 20, of Fleetwood, was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed after a one-vehicle crash at 5:25 p.m. Dec. 10 on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

It happened at mile marker 72.8 in East Penn Township. She was uninjured.

Police said she was driving a 2015 Honda CRV northbound and was negotiating a right curve in the highway when she lost control of the vehicle as it began to hydroplane.

They said the car impacted the guardrail off the right side of the road with a glancing blow, then traveled across both lanes of travel and made a secondary impact with the center concrete median.

The car sustained disabling front-end damages, police said.
