State police at Stroudsburg
State police at Stroudsburg reported the following:
• Police were asked to investigate a stolen medicine case that was reported to them at 11:49 a.m. Nov. 20.
A 38-year-old woman from Stroudsburg told police she had her (suboxone) medication stored in her purse when it was stolen from her car, a 2012 Ford Fusion, while it was parked in her driveway at a property on Ridge Road in Hamilton Township.
• A 45-year-old Easton man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police were summoned to a one-car crash at 6:48 p.m. Dec. 7 on Route 33 in Hamilton Township.
Police said he was driving a 2018 Nissan that they found on the right shoulder of the road, still partially on the roadway, following a crash.
Police said the man was taken into custody without incident.
• Police said a Stroudsburg man whose license plate was stolen from his vehicle was issued a parking ticket via the mail by the New York City Police Department.
Police said an unknown subject stole the Pennsylvania-issued plate off the victim’s vehicle from an unknown location in Hamilton Township between Nov. 24, 2021, and Aug. 29 of this year.
They said the man found out where the plate was when he received a citation in the mail that a vehicle bearing it was parked illegally in the city.
• A 28-year-old Cresco man was arrested on a charge of simple harassment after police were called to a domestic disturbance at 6:13 p.m. Dec. 5 at a property on Paradise Valley Road in Paradise Township.
A 21-year-old woman from Effort reported during a child custody dispute with the man he slapped, punched and pushed her.
Police said an arrest warrant was issued for the man, who was apprehended without incident.
• A 53-year-old Cresco woman is the victim of a theft incident that police were called to at a property on Ladderback Lane, Paradise Township.
Police said the woman reported hiring a cleaning service to clear her garage and discovered the cleaners took several unauthorized items, including patio seat pillows worth $200, a Kitchen Aid food processor worth $200 and a black with red writing estimated at $100.
