State Police at Lehighton

State police at Lehighton reported the following:

• Police were called to a simple trespass incident at 2:10 p.m. Dec. 9 at a property on Bush’s Mountain Road, Chestnuthill Township.

A 62-year-old woman from Saylorsburg reported two unidentified men in a red pickup truck were observed dumping a large amount of leaves onto her property.

• A 20-year-old Lehighton man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop police made at 9:21 p.m. Dec. 8 at the intersection of Interchange and Cherry Hill roads in Franklin Township.

He was stopped in a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck for Title 75 violations.

• Police said a simple trespass incident led to the arrest of a 26-year-old Lehighton man on charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

They were called to a property at 227 White St., Weissport, at 11:19 p.m. Nov. 23, after which time they said the man involved in the trespass complaint was suspected to be driving under the influence in a 2015 Subaru.

Police said an officer was on routine patrol near the intersection of routes 248 and 873 and initiated a traffic stop of a bicycle traveling west on Route 248 after observing the rider commit multiple Title 75 violations.

• Police said a 70-year-old Kunkletown man is the victim is a theft by deception incident in which a personal check he wrote was altered, but police said the man’s financial institution denied the processing of the forged check.

They said the man, who resides along Little John Drive in Polk Township, reported he mailed a check to a charity organization for $10, and then learned the dollar amount was changed to $3,800.
