State police at Fern Ridge
State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following:
• Emmy Harsch, 30, of Saylorsburg, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to an incident at 2:07 p.m. Nov. 29 at 752 Toll Road, Chestnuthill Township.
Police said they were called there to investigate a dog bite incident and upon arrival made contact with Harsch, who police said had an active warrant out for her arrest. Police said she attempted to run but was taken into custody. Police found her to be in possession of a glass smoking pipe containing suspected drug residue.
• A 50-year-old Albrightsville man was taken into custody and charged with terroristic threats and endangering the welfare of children.
Police were called to a physical domestic-related disturbance at 8:13 p.m. Nov. 19 at a property on Mountain Road in Penn Forest Township. Police said the victim of the terroristic threat charge is a 43-year-old woman and the victims of the “endangering” charge are two girls, ages 10 and 11, all from Albrightsville.
Pedrazza Inc., a business located at 3224 State St., East Side Borough, will receive a citation for false alarms/dialing devices, after police were called there at 8:02 a.m. Dec. 2 for a reported alarm.
Police said it was determined the building was secure. They said they were called there for fourth time in a 12-month period for similar calls which resulted in the citation.
• Police are investigating a theft by deception/identity theft reported at 9:31 a.m. Nov. 30 at a property on King Street in Jackson Township. A 50-year-old woman told someone used her personal information to apply for three credit cards.
• A Jim Thorpe Area High School student admitted operating an Instagram account that had been used to harass an 18-year-old female from Albrightsville.
Police said the victim and her father arrived at the barracks at 5 p.m. Nov. 16 to report she was being harassed through Instagram by two unknown accounts. Police said they conducted interviews at the high school and a student admitted to operating the account. Police said the family opted to not have criminal charges of harassment by communications filed against the student as long as the harassment stops.
• Police were called to investigate a theft case in which a driver took off in his vehicle without paying after filling the tank with diesel fuel.
It happened at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 26 at Onvo, 2550 Route 534, East Side Borough, White Haven. Police said the fuel cost was $700.04.
• Police were called to a theft incident at 9:13 p.m. Nov. 28 at a property on Sunset Road, Jackson Township.
A 22-year-old man from Stroudsburg reported an Ibanez acoustic guitar was missing from the home. There was no signs of a burglary. Police said surveillance of the area was negative for any information about an unknown party.
