A 31-year-old Brodheadsville man was charged by state police at Stroudsburg with harassment by physical contact after an altercation with his father at 9:30 p.m. Nov. 27 at a property on Lower Cherry Valley Road, Hamilton Township.

Police said the father, a 64-year-old man from Saylorsburg, said he was at his son’s house helping him look for his dog when an argument occurred and escalated to a fight. Police said the father had a swollen bottom lip and a red mark on the right side of his face. He also told police he had pain in the back of his head.
