Northern Lehigh School District remains committed to the safety and security of its students, employees and visitors.

To that end, the school board on a 7-0 vote Monday approved the memorandum of understanding with the Slatington Borough Police Department for additional monitoring of school district buildings and grounds for safety and security purposes.

After the meeting, Superintendent Dr. Matthew J. Link elaborated on the agreement.

“It is an agreement in which the (Slatington Borough Police Department) can have quicker access to monitor the district building and grounds to further strengthen safety and security for our students, employees, and visitors,” Link said.
