Lehighton to host vintage Christmas event

The Lehighton Downtown Initiative will host its second annual Hometown Vintage Christmas from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday.

It will be on South First Street, and feature more than 70 vendors, live music, food, activities, 174 Christmas trees in the park, horse and wagon rides and more.

Guests are asked to bring their children dressed in their best Christmas outfits as Snow Maidens and Little Lords of the Forest will open the event with a march down the street including Father Christmas and his drummer.

Guests are asked to meet at the fountain in the park by 11:45 a.m.

When the parade is finished the children can meet with Father Christmas inside Wine & More.

When the children are finished telling Father Christmas their Christmas desires, there will be crafts and games for them, including a life size Gingerbread House donated by Robbie’s Balloons and More.

Tickets are needed for the Horse and Wagon rides which will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The ticket will come with a return time.

All of the Lehighton Downtown Initiative activities are free of charge for Hometown Vintage Christmas.

Live music will be fill the air all day long with the music of Autumn Falls Entertainment, Sienna McGeehan and Eric Stimmler.

All proceeds from Hometown Vintage Christmas will benefit the revitalization of Lehighton.
