Several area municipalities successfully held their annual Tree Lighting events over the weekend.
Because of Sunday’s inclement weather, a pair of holiday events have been rescheduled for later this week.
Slatington’s Tree Lighting, presented by the Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce, held a virtual event on Friday because of rain.
Walnutport’s seventh annual Adopt a Tree/Tree Lighting hosted by the borough’s Recreation Board, was held Saturday at 215 S. Lincoln Ave.
Two events that had been scheduled for Sunday were postponed.
Lansford’s Trail of Trees, hosted by Lansford Friends of Recreation and Lansford Alive, has been rescheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday.
Summit Hill’s Christmas on the Hill, sponsored by the Summit Hill Recreation Commission, has been rescheduled to 7 p.m. this Sunday.
