Faith Alive Church

Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown) holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Rob Timlin. A contemporary service is held at 8:30 a.m., followed by Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 a.m. A traditional service is held at 11 a.m.

• Christmas poinsettias orders are being accepted until Dec. 3. Envelopes are in the lobby or call the church office at 610-852-2805 to order.

• Dec. 2: Grace Notes Gospel Big Band concert, 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. All are welcome; Impact Youth Fundraiser from noon to 5 p.m. in the park. Baked goods and hot chocolate will be sold. Donations of baked goods an be dropped of at the church by 5 p.m. on Dec. 1.

• Dec. 3: Communion Sunday, 8:30 a.m. worship; 9:45 a.m. Sunday school; 11 a.m. worship.

• Dec. 6: Advent Bible study, 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.

• Dec. 9: Choir Christmas Cantata, 6 p.m. “The Heart of Christmas”

• Dec. 10: Confirmation Sunday, 8:30 and 11 a.m.; Combined Sunday school (Confirmation reception), 9:45 a.m.; Choir Christmas Cantata, 3 p.m. “The Heart of Christmas”

• Dec. 13: Advent Bible study, 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.

• Dec 15: Newsletter items due.

• Dec. 20: 10 a.m. GriefShare; Advent Bible study, 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.

• Dec. 24: Kids Christmas program, 10 a.m.; 11 a.m. combined worship; 5 p.m. Traditional Christmas Eve candlelight worship.

• Dec. 31: Combined worship, 11 a.m.; 12:15 p.m. meal prep for New Year’s Day dinner.

• Jan. 1, 2024: Pork and sauerkraut community takeout dinner, noon to 2 p.m. Call the church office to reserve a pickup time by Dec. 22.
