Two people are dead following an incident Tuesday night in Pocono Township, Monroe County.

At 6:33 p.m., Pocono Township Police officers responded to a domestic in progress with a firearm involving a boyfriend and girlfriend at Ski Side Drive, Tannersville.

When officers arrived on scene, they found the man and woman with gunshot wounds.

The man was pronounced dead on scene, and the woman was later pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg.

Monroe County Coroner Tom Yanac Jr. said Wednesday morning that he could not release the names until next of kin are notified.

Pocono Township Police said there is no threat to the public, and the investigation is ongoing.
