State police at Fern Ridge - crashes

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported on the following crashes:

• Kevin J. Pish, 26, of Hanover Township, was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed after a one-vehicle crash at 6:21 a.m. Nov. 16 on Ribver Street in East Side Borough. He was uninjured.

Police said he was driving a 2023 Nissan Versa west on River Street at speed greater than reasonable when the car lost control on a curve, traveled sideways off the east side of the road and struck a mailbox and utility pole.

The car needed to be towed from the scene.

• Christopher Guadagnino, 22, of Bethlehem, was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 7:29 p.m. Nov. 16 on Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said he was transported by personnel from the Lehighton Ambulance Association to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono, East Stroudsburg.

Police did not provide the details of the crash except to say Guadagnino was operating a 2005 Yamaha motorcycle. The other vehicle was a 2019 Toyota Camry operated by Nicholas Mazzella, 23, of Bloomsburg, who was uninjured.

• Leanne E. Menear, 54, of Sciota, was injured in a two-vehicle mishap at 3:55 p.m. Nov. 13 on Old Route 111 in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said she was transported by personnel from the West End Community Ambulance to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono, East Stroudsburg.

Police did not provide the details of the crash except to say she was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu and the other driver was Dylan P. Firestone, 24, of Saylorsburg, who was driving a 2017 Hyundai Accent and was uninjured.
