Two people have been charged after a woman was shot with a pellet gun.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident happened at 12:30 a.m. Nov. 4 in West Brunswick Township. Police said they were summoned to the 1200 block of Red Dale Road in the township and charged Michele Bosack, 58, of Orwigsburg, and Brad Gavalis, 20, of West Brunswick Township.

Police said they were told Bosack attacked Gavalis with a pocketknife and that during the altercation, Gavalis struck Bosack in the head with a flashlight and shot her with the pellet gun.

He was taken into custody and arraigned.

Bosack was admitted to the hospital and a warrant will be obtained for her arrest upon her release from the medical facility, police said.
