During a special meeting of the Carbon County Board of Public Assistance yesterday, John Sharbaugh of Lansford was promoted to the position of income maintenance supervisor.

Sharbaugh, 33, first worked as a caseworker for the county board in 1971 and was later transferred to the position of income maintenance worker.

He previously worked as a caseworker for the Northampton County Public Assistance office, a position that involved both income maintenance and social service duties.

Sharbaugh is a graduate of Bloomsburg State College, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology.
