Thanksgiving meals
St. John’s United Church of Christ at 15 South Second Street, Slatington is offering a free Thanksgiving Day dinner from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday. The dinner will be a drive-thru with reservations required for pickup times. There will be no sit-down service.
To reserve a dinner and pickup time, contact the church office at 610-767-5554. The church office is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays and from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays and Fridays.

Dinners will only be delivered to shut-ins in the Northern Lehigh area.

• Living Hope Lighthouse Church, 705 Third St., Palmerton, Wednesday. Dine in from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Curbside from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Call 610-826-2201 for reservations.
• American Legion Post 927, 646 Fairgrounds Road, Gilbert, noon to 4 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. Free meal to all who attend.
• Our Lady Queen of Peace, 140 Route 209, Gilbert, free meal at 3 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. Also serving Nov. 26 at 3 p.m.
• La Dolce Casa/DiMaggio’s of Tamaqua will give away 2,500 turkey dinners beginning at 11 a.m. Tuesday from its food truck parked outside the 16 W. Broad St. restaurant. The takeout meal distribution will be held weather permitting.
• Verona Pizza House, 401 Mahoning St., Lehighton, 11th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thurs. Free takeout meals.
• Stokes Ministries and G-Lady’s Food Pantry of Tamaqua are taking registration for free Thanksgiving meal platters. Distribution will be Thursday. To register, call 570-486-8389; 570-573-0509, or 570-391-7554.
