Firefighters from Mahoning Valley and Lehighton were called to a brush fire around 12:45 p.m. Sunday in the 700 block of Hemlock Drive in Mahoning Township. The Mahoning Valley ambulance was requested to evaluate the homeowner of the property. Fire police maintained traffic control, and Mahoning Township police are investigating.
