A Schuylkill County woman is dead after a fire broke out in Hegins Township Thursday night.

County Coroner David Moylan said the victim is Eileen Erdman, 76, of Hegins.

Moylan said her cause of death is pending laboratory tests, as they are checking for carbon monoxide levels.

He said Erdman was already deceased by the time personnel arrived on scene.

Crews from Hegins Township were called to the 1200 block of West Main Street around 8:30 p.m. for a reported fire with an entrapment.
