State police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported on the following crashes:

• A 24-year-old Walnutport man was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 10:43 p.m. Oct. 18 at the intersection of Blakeslee Boulevard Drive (Route 443) and Gilberts Hill Road in Mahoning Township.

Police said he was driving a 2003 Mazda that crossed the double yellow lines and went into the westbound lane, continuing on the shoulder where it struck a large rock with its front-end.

Police said the driver was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

The vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.

• Susan M. Hollender, 65, of Kresgeville, was cited after a two-vehicle crash at 4:35 p.m. Nov. 10 at the intersection of the Kunkletown Road and Silver Spring Boulevard in Polk Township. No one was injured in the incident.

Police said she was driving a 2016 Subaru Legacy that attempted to cross the Silver Spring Boulevard as a Ford Ranger operated by Curtis L. Eckhart, 54, of Danielsville, was traveling south. Police said the Ranger struck the Legacy, which had to be towed from the scene. The truck was able to be driven from the scene, police said.

• Joseph F. Gervasi, 18, of Slatington, escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 11:59 p.m. Nov. 10 on Fireline Road in Lower Towamensing Township.

Police said he was driving a 2010 Hyundai Accent westbound when he lost control of the vehicle. It traveled off the right side of the road and struck multiple trees.

Police said the car had disabling damages and was towed from the scene.

• Angelina R. Dambach, 18, of Lehighton, was injured when a car she was driving struck a deer at 1:03 a.m. Nov. 12 on West Lizard Creek Road in East Penn Township.

Police said she was driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla westbound when the incident happened. The car had disabling front-end damages and was towed from the scene.

Police said Dambach had head and chest pains and was treated at the scene by personnel from the Lehighton Ambulance Association.

• Two people were injured in a rear-end crash at 4:01 p.m. Nov. 10 on Interchange Road in Polk Township.

Police said a 2011 Ford F-150 driven by Dennis R. Wood, 67, of North East, Maryland, struck a 2005 Chrysler Sebring driven by Sophia V. Roldan, 17, of Kunkletown.

She and a passenger, Damian Roldan, 55, also of Kunkletown, were transported by personnel from the West End Ambulance to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Carbon Campus, Franklin Township. Wood and a passenger, Lucretia A. Wood, 62, also of North East, were uninjured.
