Letter to the Editor: Family get-togethers are long gone

Goodbye family. Let’s face it families are disappearing. I remember when families got together for holidays and sometimes just to have a party. Everyone knew their cousins-uncles-aunts-grandparents and even great grandparents. Those days are gone!

I remember when someone was unable to show some one brought them. Now they say “we know you can’t make it.”

I remember when parents made sure they and their kids would visit. Nowadays as the saying foes the only time families get together is when someone dies or gets married. Then they don’t see them again till the next one dies or gets married. Unless you can’t make it (says them) so goodbye families. But seniors remember.

You don’t know what you’re missing. Too bad.

I remain,

Robert (Ski) Siesputowski
