A Carbon County jury on Tuesday found a Lehighton man not guilty of conspiring to steal a vehicle and a welder.

Edward C. Kleintop, 52, was charged by Lehighton State Trooper Joseph J. Campano with two felony counts of conspiracy to commit theft and two felony counts of conspiracy/receiving stolen property stemming from an incident on March 31, 2022.

Judge Joseph J. Matika presided over the trial. Assistant District Attorney Kara Marie Beck prosecuted the case; with Kleintop represented by Attorney Kim Marie Gilles.
