Lehighton Borough Police Log

Lehighton Borough Police reported on the following incidents:

• At 3 p.m. Oct. 26, police were called to the parking lot of Rite Aid for two people in a car who appeared intoxicated.

Police discovered Angela Fritzinger, 59, and Gregory Steinmetz, 39, both of Franklin Township, were in possession of crushed Oxycodone, and had recently been snorting it.

Upon being taken into custody and interviewed, both admitted to picking up Fritzinger’s prescription in order to share it and snort it. Both have been charged with possession of paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and possession with intent to deliver.

• At 9:45 a.m. Oct. 31, police were called to the intersection of Third and South Street for a dispute.

A 66-year-old Lehighton man who had been struck was standing on the street corner speaking with the offender, a 64-year-old Lehighton woman who had struck him.

The man said he did have some minor pain, but was otherwise all right. EMS was dispatched to ensure the man was OK. The man declined to press charges on the woman.
