Tamaqua police charged William G. Hill Jr., 41, of Tamaqua, with indirect criminal contempt of court for violating a Protection from Abuse Order on Nov. 7.
Police were called to a Pitt Street home at 12:15 p.m. for a report of a PFA violation. Police saw Hill standing on the street and took him into custody after verifying the PFA was valid.
In the PFA, the woman who had the PFA taken out on Hill said that he had been calling and texting her from different phone numbers at all hours of the day. She told police that she is afraid of him.
According to the woman, she was in the yard of the Pitt Street residence when she heard Hill yelling that he had her and her boyfriend surrounded and that they would be hurt. As she walked toward the house, she said Hill threw a full bottle of Pepsi at her.
Hill was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli, Frackville, and committed to the Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $15,000 straight bail.
