Michelle Rider and her brand of southern comedy rank among the entertainment highlights at local and regional venues over the next couple of weeks.

Rider, aka “Shelly Belly,” will perform at Mauch Chunk Opera House, also set to host multiple tribute shows and the annual Harvest Jam. Penn’s Peak, meanwhile, will also feature tribute shows, as well as Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter.

Christmas comes early as Trans-Siberian Orchestra brings “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” to Allentown’s PPL Center. The latter will also host performances of “Jurassic World Live.”

• Nick Carter, 8 p.m. Nov. 16. Born in Jamestown, New York, the Backstreet Boys member has released 10 studio albums with the group and three solo sets. Formed in 1993, Backstreet Boys’ hit singles include “Everybody (Backstreet‘s Back)” and “I Want It That Way.” Singer Carly Waddell, a contestant in ABC’s “The Bachelor” franchise, will also perform.

• Land of Ozz, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 17. The group, a tribute to rocker Ozzy Osbourne, includes frontman Stephen J. Desko. Mystery City, a rock cover band with members from Carbon County and the northeastern Pennsylvania area, will also perform.

• Hollywood Nights, 8 p.m. Nov. 18. The New Jersey group pays tribute to rock act Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band.

• Dark Star Orchestra, 8 p.m. Nov. 22. Formed in Chicago in 1997, the Grateful Dead tribute act has featured guest performances from original Dead members. DSO hosts the music festivals Dark Star Jubilee and Jam in the Sand, held in Ohio and Jamaica, respectively.

• Rubix Kube, 8 p.m. Nov. 10. The New York City band performs music from the 1980s.

• The “The Band” Band: The Last Waltz Celebration, 8 p.m. Nov. 11. The group revisits The Band’s final show, held on Thanksgiving Day 1976 at San Francisco’s Winterland Ballroom.

• “Shelly Belly” Michelle Rider, 8:30 p.m. Nov. 17. Rider, a native of Pacolet, South Carolina, gained attention with the online skits “Shelly Belly Comedy.” In 2021, the comedian appeared in the third season of Netflix reality series “The Circle.”

• Craig Thatcher Band, 8 p.m. Nov. 18. The group, blending classic rock and blues standards with original tunes, will present its Eric Clapton retrospective.

• Truth, 6 p.m. Nov. 19. The band pays tribute to the jazz-rock-fusion of late English guitarist Jeff Beck. Truth takes its name from Beck’s 1968 debut solo album.

• Harvest Jam, 7 p.m. Nov. 22. Free Range Folk, a roots dirt-rock group hailing from Jim Thorpe, and trio Hex Highway Blues Band will perform.

• Trans-Siberian Orchestra, 7 p.m. Nov. 22. Formed in Tampa, Florida, the progressive rock band’s holiday-albums trilogy consists of 1996’s “Christmas Eve and Other Stories,” 1998’s “The Christmas Attic” and 2004’s “The Lost Christmas Eve.”

• Chicago, 8 p.m. Nov. 11. Formed in 1967, the rock band includes original members Robert Lamm, Lee Loughnane and James Pankow. Chicago, with 38 studio albums to its credit, scored hits such as “25 or 6 to 4,” “Saturday in the Park” and “Make Me Smile.”

• Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, 8 p.m. Nov. 16. Formed in 2013 in Brooklyn, New York, the rock band performs the music of Grateful Dead.

• Foreigner, 8 p.m. Nov. 17 and 18. The rock band, formed in 1976 in New York City, features original member Mick Jones. Foreigner has released nine studio albums, scoring hits such as “Feels Like The First Time” and “I Want To Know What Love Is.”

• The Artimus Pyle Band, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 10. The band performs the music of Lynyrd Skynyrd. Pyle was a Skynyrd member in the 1970s and then from 1987 to 1991.

• Boat House Row, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11. The band performs “yacht rock,” a polished brand of soft rock that emanated from Southern California between 1976 and 1984.

• The Ledbetters and Superunknown, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 17. The Ledbetters pays tribute to rock band Pearl Jam, while Superunknown pays tribute to late rocker Chris Cornell.

• The Aardvarks, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 18. The rock cover band hails from the Lehigh Valley.

• Lehigh Valley Turkey Jam, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 22. Kirk Griffiths and Tyler Rothrock will host the event, set to feature a jazz cocktail hour and multiple music performances.

Formed in 1992 in Nashville, Tennessee, the country group features Drew Womack, plus original members Dean Sams, Michael Britt and Randy “Keech” Rainwater. “Ten to 1,” the band’s latest album, includes new recordings of Lonestar chart-topping hits such as “No News,” “Amazed” and “I’m Already There.”
