Thanksgiving filling orders can be picked up at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 500 Church Drive, Palmerton from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 21.

Faith Alive Church

Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown) holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Rob Timlin. A contemporary service is held at 8:30 a.m., followed by Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 a.m. A traditional service is held at 11 a.m.

• A Veterans Luncheon is planned for 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 at the church fellowship hall. All veterans and their spouses are welcome. Call the church office to register or sign up in the lobby.

• Nov. 12: PA Adult and Teen Challenge will perform during both worship services. They will sing and give their personal testimonies to provide hope to families impacted by substance abuse.

• Nov. 13: 7 p.m. is church council.

• Nov. 15:10 a.m. GriefShare, 7 p.m. prayer and praise.

• Nov. 19: 8:30 a.m. worship; 9:45 a.m. Sunday School; 11 a.m. worship; 6 p.m. youth group.

• Nov. 22:10 a.m. GriefShare; 7 p.m. Thanksgiving eve service.

• Nov. 23: Office closed for Thanksgiving.

• Nov. 25: Decorating the church for Christmas.

• Nov. 28: 10 a.m. quilting group.

November Mission: Faith Alive Benevolence Fund. The benevolence fund is designated to meet the emergency needs that arise both within our own church family and in the community. Examples include helping with utility expenses, rent, emergency prescriptions and more.

The church’s prayer shawl ministry is in need of yarn. Anyone who would like to donate some, may call the church office and arrange a pickup.

Help is needed with Communion on the first Sunday of every month. Communion stewards can sign up to help on the sheet in the lobby or see Linda Johnston.

A new greeters schedule for the first six months of 2024 is being put together. If you would like to be a greeter or continue as a greeter, call or text Lilly at 610-462-0364 or email her at lillianmcfar@hotmail.com.

Christmas poinsettias orders are being accepted until Dec. 3. Envelopes are in the lobby or call the church office at 610-852-2805 to order.

Sacred Heart Church

A cash Bingo fundraiser for Sacred Heart Palmerton will take place on Nov. 19 at Mahoning Valley Ambulance Hall, (Village of New Mahoning), Lehighton.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m., games begin at 1 p.m.

There will be food and refreshments available for purchase as well as a bake sale.
