Potter County driver dies in turnpike crash

A Potter County man died Friday in a crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Kidder Township that shut down the northbound lanes shortly after noon near mile marker 89.

The crash was between the Route 903 slip ramp and the Pocono exit.

Carbon County Coroner Robert Miller said Brandon Lampman, 36, was in a disabled car parked in a construction zone when he was hit by a tri-axle dump truck.

The crash caused heavy traffic delays on area roads. State police have not released a report on the incident.
