November 4, 1978 - Scott Fenstermacher carries 29 times for 205 yards and three touchdowns to lead Northwestern to a 27-7 Centennial League victory over Pleasant Valley. Fenstermacher scores all three of his TDs in the second half after the two teams play to a scoreless tie in the first half. The senior opens the scoring with a 25-yard run after a Keith Taylor interception before the Bears knot the contest on a 1-yard plunge into the end zone by Mark Hogrelius. Fenstermacher breaks the tie for good with a 9-yard tally before the Tigers, coached by Gary Williams, receive TD runs from Taylor and Fenstermacher to clinch the win.
