I am writing to express my support for and my confidence in Mike Sofranko and Wayne Nothstein, the GOP candidates for Carbon County commissioner. Knowing both gentlemen for nearly a lifetime, I have a firm knowledge of their character, their integrity, and their ability to manage during difficult situations. Both Carbon County and the Borough of Jim Thorpe face many complex issues on a continuing basis. We live in a beautiful area where people like to live and work, but many times they are forced to work elsewhere. Carbon County has some aging properties that need constant repair. Both Carbon County and Jim Thorpe Borough face the same social problems that exist in many other communities. Both Mike and Wayne have had to deal with many challenging issues during their tenure as mayor and commissioner. They both possess high qualifications, professionalism and experience and will make the difficult decisions that will keep Carbon County moving forward. This is why I’m supporting Mike Sofranko and Wayne Nothstein for Carbon County commissioner and I hope you will too.
