Letter to the Editor: Supports Dodson for magisterial district judge

Thank you for the opportunity to share my support for Beth Dodson. I have known Beth for over 35 years. We attended school together from St. Joseph’s preschool through graduation from Panther Valley High School and have remained close friends.

I have no doubt Beth is the right choice for the role of Magisterial District Judge. She possesses the gift of intelligence plus common sense. She graduated with high honors from high school, college and law school and then joined a prestigious law firm. When she told me she was representing celebrities as well as people who were broke and homeless, I was not surprised. Beth is confident and capable yet also empathetic and generous.

Beth is genuine and a born leader. She unapologetically speaks her mind but is also willing to listen to others. She is honest, reliable, and steadfast in her values - all qualities necessary for an effective judge. Beth handles pressure well. She maintains a level-head, problem solves, and provides a logical solution even under pressure. She is still the first to assist a friend in need or support a good cause.

In closing, it is important to mention that Beth never forgot where she came from. Despite her vast professional experiences outside of this area, Beth has remained grounded and committed to her home. I believe her experiences provide her with a richer understanding but also a greater appreciation for our area.

I am confident that, if elected, Beth would uphold the position of judge with honesty and fairness. I hope that you will join me and vote for Beth Dodson for Magisterial District Judge on Nov. 7.

Respectfully,

Elise M. Colancecco, PhD, RN
