Kevin J. Fairley’s love for music has taken him through several crossroads, but the most recent accomplishment is the celebration of 40 years as organist of the Roman Catholic parishes of Nesquehoning.

Fairley, a lifelong resident of Nesquehoning, has served as head organist of the former parishes of Sacred Heart, Immaculate Conception and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in the community.

His service to the churches was recognized yesterday by the Rev. Anthony Drouncheck, pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (the successor to the three churches) before the parish’s congregation.
