Carbon County community ambulances are getting a chance to work together by forming a joint Carbon County emergency medical ambulance corps.

At a meeting of the group held recently in Lehighton, eight of the county’s 13 community ambulance corps were represented.

The meeting, organized by Paul Bray, Weatherly, and Chris Heckman, Nesquehoning, was designed to bring unity among the corps members, who would share ideas and services, work together and even hold joint training sessions, with the objective being to save expenses and time in setting up individual programs.
