Jerusalem Evangelical
Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church is celebrating its 175th anniversary this Sunday following the 9 a.m. worship service.
The parish has been in its new church (the brick church across from the white church) for 20 years, and the Rev. Kenneth Melber Jr. is the part-time pastor, shared with St. John’s Lutheran Church in Palmerton.
All are welcome to come out and celebrate this special church milestone with us.
Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church is located at 500 Church Drive, Palmerton.
The church is also holding a Homemade Thanksgiving Filling sale. All orders are due by Nov. 5.
Pick up orders at the church from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 21.
Jerusalem UCC
Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 545 Church Drive, Palmerton, will hold its fall basket raffle and bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 4. In addition to the basket raffle, there will be holiday items and baked goods for sale.
Worship service takes place at 10 a.m. every Sunday with the Rev. Marian Johnson, pastor, presiding.

Faith Alive Church
Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown) holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Rob Timlin. A contemporary service is held at 8:30 a.m., followed by Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 a.m. A traditional service is held at 11 a.m.

• Nov. 5: Communion Sunday; 6 p.m. youth group; 4 to 6 p.m. music at The Mission Light For The Winter, The Gathering Place Mission, 305 White St. Weissport. Free admission and refreshment.
• Nov. 7: 2 p.m. Prayer shawl; 7 p.m. Trustees meeting.
• Nov. 8: 10 a.m. GriefShare; 7 p.m., prayer and praise.
• A Veterans’ Luncheon is planned for 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 at the church fellowship hall. All veterans and their spouses are welcome. Call the church office to register or sign up in the lobby.
• Nov. 12: PA Adult and Teen Challenge will perform during both worship services. They will sing and give their personal testimonies to provide hope to families impacted by substance abuse.
October Mission is Operation Christmas Child. Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the good news of God’s love. If you would like to donate financially instead of making a shoe box, checks made payable to Faith Alive can be placed in a missions envelope.
Sunday school Adult Bible Class begins Oct. 29 and will be held for six weeks in Leah’s Room. Each week will focus on a different biblical topic.
The church’s prayer shawl ministry is in need of yarn. Anyone who would like to donate some, may call the church office and arrange a pickup.
Help is needed with Communion on the first Sunday of every month. Communion stewards can sign up to help on the sheet in the lobby or see Linda Johnston.
