Kennedy P. Sheeley, 28, of Saylorsburg, was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 6:49 a.m. Oct. 3 near the beginning of the on-ramp to Interstate 78 at Route 33 in Lower Saucon Township.

State police at the Belfast barracks said she was transported by personnel from the Dewey Fire Company No. 1 ambulance to a hospital in Bethlehem.

Police said the incident occurred when a 2016 Honda Pilot operated by Julie A. Abel, 38, of Nazareth, was traveling southbound behind a 2015 Nissan Versa that Sheeley was driving. Police said the Pilot merged and crossed over to the left lane, striking the rear passenger side of the Versa. Police said the Pilot was able to be driven from the scene while the Versa was towed away.

Police said Abel was cited for the crash.
