State police at Fogelsville - crashes

State police at the Fogelsville barracks reported on several recent incidents:

• Dale A. Andrew, 51, of Bowmanstown, was cited after a two-vehicle crash at 8:53 a.m. Sept. 26 at the intersection of Allemaengel Road and Decatur Street in Lynn Township.

Police said he was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Colorado that was unable to stop and struck a 2019 Lincoln operated by Andrew D. Henry, 52, of Allentown. Police said he began to pull out from a stop sign and came to a sudden stop when he said Andrew’s vehicle approaching.

Police said both drivers were uninjured. Rachel A. Blayle, 36, of New Tripoli, who was a passenger with Henry, complained of neck and back pain but refused a medical transport.

• Two drivers were involved in a crash at 11:34 p.m. Sept. 30 on Hamilton Boulevard in Lower Macungie Township.

Police did not provide the details of the incident except to identify one of the vehicles, a 2010 Nissan X-Terra operated by Colton M. Wieder, 25, of Germansville. They also said the other driver was Kennedy P. Ritchie, 26, of New Ringgold.

• Beverly D. Derstine-Burleigh, 55, of Kempton, was injured in a crash at 7:16 a.m. Sept. 27 at the intersection of Kistler Valley and Schochary roads in Lynn Township.

Police said she was transported by personnel from the Cetronia Ambulance Association to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Police said the crash involved a 2004 Ford Taurus operated by Thomas C. Eschbach, 20, of Reading, and a 2018 Toyota RAV4 driven by Derstine-Burleigh. Eschbach was cited for a “stop signs and yield signs” violation. He was uninjured.
