Towamensing Elementary School is losing another principal. Denise Wettstein, who has been principal for two years, will leave at the close of Friday, Oct. 31, to become principal as of Nov. 4 at the L.B. Morris Elementary School in Jim Thorpe.

The last principal at Towamensing, Christopher Yeager, left also during the school year, although he stayed until Christmas.

A 27-year teacher with a master’s degree from East Stroudsburg University, Wettstein came to Palmerton after teaching sixth grade for four years in Jim Thorpe.
