Tamaqua police recently reported on two incidents that happened in the borough.
• James Stintsman, 57, who has addresses in Tamaqua and Pottsville, was cited for an Oct. 15 domestic disturbance.
Police were called to a domestic in progress on the unit block of North Greenwood Street. A woman told emergency dispatchers that Stintsman was attacking her.
When police arrived, they said that an injury to the woman’s eye area was worse than it had been earlier in the day.
Police said Stintsman was taken into custody and charged with harassment and disorderly conduct. The two were advised to stay away from each other.
• Tamaqua police are investigating the theft of a catalytic converter from a 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander.
Police said the vehicle was parked on Union Street around 10 p.m. Sunday. The owner noticed the theft at 6 a.m. Monday.
