State police at Lehighton - crashes

State police at Lehighton report on the following crashes:

• A 21-year-old Breinigsville man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a crash at 12:09 a.m. Oct. 11 on Bridge Street in Weissport.

Police said he was driving a 2013 Ford F-150 and was attempting to travel backwards through a parking lot when the truck struck a cement base and large metal post.

• Kelsey P. Miller, 48, of Nesquehoning, escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 7:25 a.m. Oct. 11 on Route 248 in Bowmanstown.

Police said she was driving a 2018 Ford Fiesta eastbound at approximately 80 mph when it struck a concrete barrier on the left side of the road. The car sustained disabling damages, police said.

• Ozcan Recep, 30, of Sciota, escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 10:18 a.m. Oct. 10 on Route 115 in Ross Township. Police said he was driving a 2017 Lexus southbound when he lost control of the vehicle. It traveled off the right side of the road and struck a utility. The car sustained disabling damages and was towed from the scene.

• Julio E. Rodriguez, 41, of Breinigsville, suffered serious injuries in two-vehicle crash at 11:41 a.m. Sept. 26 at the intersection of Blue Ridge and Pennell roads in Ross Township. Police said he was transported by the MedEvac helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono, East Stroudsburg.

The driver of the second vehicle involved in the incident was Rene Jimenez, 38, of Phoenix, Arizona. Police said he was taken to the East Stroudsburg hospital in MedEvac.

Police did not provide any details of the incident.

• A 22-year-old Lehighton man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after a one-vehicle crash at 2:36 a.m. Oct. 7 at 84 Ashtown Drive, Mahoning Township.

Police said he was uninjured in the incident. He was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Cobalt.

• Timothy Holmes Jr., 38, of Allentown, was arrested for driving under the influence after a one-vehicle crash at 1:09 p.m. Oct. 9 on Mountain View Drive in Polk Township. He was uninjured.

Police said he was driving a 2007 Jeep Compass eastbound when it left the roadway, striking two mailboxes. The car continued on the roadside until coming to rest in the front yard at 189 Mountain View Road.

Police said Holmes was also cited for the crash.
