SS Peter and Paul Church

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is offered on the Lord’s Day at Saints Peter and Paul Parish, 260 N 3rd St., Lehighton, by the Rev. Christopher M. Zelonis, assisted by Deacon Joseph C. Wilhelm, Jr., on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sundays at 7:45 a.m. and 10 a.m.

Daily Masses are on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 8 a.m. We welcome you, or welcome you back, to worship the Lord at our parish.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) is available on Mondays and Thursdays from 5 to 6 p.m., and 30 minutes before Masses on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Eucharistic Adoration continues Thursdays from noon to 9 p.m. Adorers are always necessary, especially between 4 to 7 p.m.

Mass for the Solemnity of All Saints will take place on Oct. 31st at 6:30 p.m., and on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. All Souls Day Masses are on Thursday at 8 a.m. and noon.

Help available

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Allentown is accepting appointments and walk-ins at the parish convent building (242 N. 3rd Street) every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Services include: individual, marriage, and family counseling; pregnancy and parenting support (counseling, material assistance such as diapers, wipes, baby items); and supportive services (case management, material assistance, emergency rental assistance, referrals).

Our parish Saint Vincent de Paul Society hosts “Vincent’s Closet” by appointment in our former convent building on 242 N. 3rd Street. The society offers clothing and toiletries for those in need and seeks donations of gift cards for local stores. Call the rectory for more information.

Meals

The Saint Vincent de Paul Society will hold a breakfast on Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to noon in our parish hall. Proceeds will help the Society help our local needy. A 50/50 and small basket raffle will also take place that day. To purchase a ticket, call Esther Meier at 570-657-6738 or Jess Jones at 570-952-5244.

A Halloween Fish Fry will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 28 in the parish hall. Meal offers haddock, French fries, stewed tomatoes, coleslaw, applesauce, roll and butter, dessert, and drink, to eat in or take out. Call the rectory or email cmarzen@gmail.com.
